15.8.02 ( 15.8.02 ) Ally Ah well. Okay, so the bully tactics do work (;) H). My team leader, Jane, finally talked me into writing my cover letter for the training job, and then read it and critted it for me, and she was proud :). Then I took it to one of the managers (yup, that's a pretty scary thing to do, but hey... All in the cause you know) to ahve a read, and then she gave me some advice on other things I should put into the letter, so the whole thing grew tenfold! But hey, it reads well now, and by god, if I haven't sold myself just on the face of the letter then I am pretty much stuffed. But we'll see. Just got to update my CV now and get the whole thing into HR by 12pm on Monday. Just watched Kiss Of The Dragon with our Kirst. What a wonderful film of gruesome, over the top violence. It's where I like to see violence... on film where it's totally fictional. Had an embarrassing moment before too. Ordered some Chinese food, and the guy delivering it drove past the house, so I went out to meet him to get the grub (I was absolutely famished and had to eat like there and then!). Anyway, trust me to trip on a stupid tuft of grass growing up between the paving slabs. Like Duh! I actually managed not to fall on my poor knees (I said poor knees, not pornys, k?!), but I was flopped there for a few minutes until I managed to get Kirstys attention to go and get my dad. Cringeworthy, if i do say so myself, as everyone just stood there in the Green and watched me in my completely vulnerable state. Yipes. Skips, thanks hon for your words :) You always manage to make me smile :) So, to anyone else who reads this, if you're feeling a little bit down... Just take one minute out of your day think about one thing that made you smile in the last week. It could just have been something someone said to you that was nice, or some silly thing a friend had done, or just that you were out in the sun and for one second you thought that life was good. Trust me, the memory of that one moment is always good and although we don't have the gift of foresight if you take the next moment with that smile on your face it will make you feel a whole lot better. Well, that's my moment of deepness.... think I need some sleep now as I've worn my poor brain out! #
